The weeks are flying by for the Lottes family. Only one more month until our big move! We spent the Thanksgiving weekend cutting grass and chopping down trees at the farm. We don’t have the keys yet so we can’t get inside to do any cleaning ahead of time but the outside looks amazing!
We’re also really enjoying our rental house in Ladysmith. It’s beautiful up here and Robin loves taking the dogs out for walks in the forest. It’s really nice to spend some time around trees again. I think after spending the last 4 years up North we forgot about how nice it is to walk through the forest in the fall and smell all the leaves. Robin and I go out looking for tracks and poop every day. There are lots of deer here and also wolves. We’ve found a few massive piles of scat that definitely didn’t come from any dog!
I’ve been taking lots of pictures but our internet is so slow that it takes hours and hours to upload them. Hopefully we can get something faster in our house.
Griffin and Robin are both growing so fast. It seems like yesterday I was sitting beside her crib in the hospital waiting and waiting for her to get stronger and now she's out riding on the 4-wheeler wanting to drive, hauling branches and chasing around the dogs. Griffin is the happiest little plump baby as long as he's watching Robin or the dogs. He's feeding himself cookies and anything else within reach!
It’s going to take a lot of work cleaning and gutting the place but we’re up for the challenge and have been spending every evening watching the DIY network….maybe that’s not such a good thing. But I think we’ve got enough friends and family with a lot of knowledge who can guide us on our reno journey.
